Specific Ocean

The members of Specific Ocean met as jazz students at the University of Denver. Hoping to explore other musical areas besides jazz, they formed Specific Ocean. Their personnel has shifted through the years, but core members Alec Wenzel and Camilla Vaitaitis remained active throughout. Camilla and Alec are now joined by drummer Nikki Saiz and bassist Bridget Hartman. 

Specific Ocean writes and performs original indie music that is reflective of their diverse musical backgrounds. Jazz, alternative, rock, and funk are all notable components of their sound. Specific Ocean is known for energetic live shows that allow for a lot of improvisation and spontaneity.

Their new single “Say It/Sunday Morning” came out in August, 2022.
