Banquet Party

Banquet Party was formed in 2017 when Dan & Jess went from childhood friends who grew up in Arizona, to creating music together in Colorado, all thanks to the miracle of coincidence. Neither knew that the other would end up moving to Colorado, causing all the pieces of happenstance to fall delicately into place. Banquet Party was born to the tune of their song, ‘Cops Drive Fords’ with Dan tooting his high school band trumpet, and Jess singing sarcastic lyrics with a smirk. Combining clever, though melancholy lyrics, with an upbeat traditional folk-punk sound, Banquet Party features a trumpet, banjo, acoustic guitar, and a harmonica, coupled with some growly screams (not all at once though; like a good swimsuit, they’re a 2-piece). Listeners usually find themselves wanting to crack open a cold one & dance while laughing. Or crying. Or crying from laughing. At the end of the day, everyone can agree: Banquet Party brings the party.
