The Morrison Sessions

Inspired by a love for Bo Diddley, Rolling Stones, Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers and John Lee Hooker. Our audiences experience the passion we have for playing roadhouse-style rock 'n roll. THE MORRISON SESSIONS are veteran Colorado musicians brought together by a devotion to some of the best music ever made!

Christopher "CJ" Jeffers grew up in SoCal in the peak of the 70's Southern California rock period and in addition to lead vocals also plays both acoustic & electric rhythm guitars as well as harmonica and mandolin. Second lead vocalist Kyle Schrader, who by day is a graphic designer for his family's Schrader Oil business, has been writing, recording and producing music under the name Micro Mirrors holds down the bass and brings a Millennial's musical sensibility to the band's eclectic song selection. Lead guitar-slinger Jonathan Coggins grew up on the Delta not far from the legendary "Crossroads" made famous by bluesman Robert Johnson's deal with the devil and was weaned on Gospel singing and blues music which is he clearly demonstrates whenever he picks up his Les Paul guitar for one of his blazing solos while Fort Collin's own, drummer Michael Short, formerly touring drummer for Rock 'n Roll Hall of Famer Dion DiMucci (The Wanderer, Runaround Sue, Teenager In Love) holds down the groove with his very steady dance-friendly pocket drumming.
