2014 Recap: FoCoMX, the Peer Awards winners and more

Hello all! With so much attention drawn to FoCoMX, Facebook, and the FoCoMX website, we got a little behind here. Just a quick recap of 2014.

Our all-volunteer board and sponsorship committees did amazing work keeping FoCoMA up and running throughout the year, both during festival season and during our sleepier months!

FoCoMX 6, held in April 2014, boasted about 5000 attendees across 20+ venues. We kept the festival diverse, and sustainably contained to the Old Town area. Our northernmost venue was the Fort Collins Museum of Discovery, and our southernmost venue was Avo’s. Two nights of walkable musical enjoyment for the price of one wristband! We owe so much to our artists, our sponsors and our amazing volunteer pool of almost 300 people. Our ProDev educational series also hosted workshops and speaker panels to provide enrichment for our music community.

In May, the Peer Awards, where local musicians vote for their favorite acts, was a great night at the Aggie Theater featuring more live performances and award presentations. We announced winners on Facebook, but thought we’d include the information here too:
